My first blog post! Wow, I thought this day would never come! The process of creating a website to share my work on has been a long journey that would not have happened without the support of my wonderful clients and my loving husband! I thought it would be fitting to begin the blog with a 'Lady Behind the Lens' post so you could learn a little more about me before I begin sharing all about my wonderful clients. So here goes!

Like many photographers I began shooting at a young age with my little Canon point and shoot. I would drag my sisters and friends out into the yard to model for me. I was big on the tacky filters and writing all over my images... Thank God that phase is over! I bought my first DSLR camera in 2010 only to have it stolen two years later. You know what that means... Upgrade time! I have always loved capturing people and was thrilled when four of my good friends asked me to photograph their weddings in the summer of 2014. That was where my journey as a wedding photographer began, and the rest, as they say is history!

If you have been following me on instagram/facebook you might have noticed a trend.. My handsome husband Matt! WARNING: Sappy post ahead! He's my biggest fan and the love of my life and I wouldn't be who I am today without him! I have been so blessed by our marriage, and as a wedding photographer I want to capture images that show how wonderful marriage is! In the good times and the bad times, you should be able to look back at your wedding photos and see the love and respect you have for your spouse.

Before we get to the photos, I'll let you in on some insider information about me! I'm a big tea drinker, pumpkin chai tea lattes are my favourite. I LOVE to travel and experience new cultures. Matt and I spent our first year of marriage living in Europe and were fortunate enough to travel to many different countries throughout our stay. We always say that one day we plan to live on every continent, and we are only half joking. We will take any opportunity to move around and explore this beautiful world!

Enough about me, lets get to the photos! Matt and I were fortunate enough to connect with a wonderful photographer in Budapest, Hungary who agreed to do a couples session for us on our second last day in Europe. Thank you to Wert√°n Fot√≥ for capturing these beautiful images and this chapter in our lives!
